Last day of the month

Can't believe September is already done.. what a fast month it was!

Enjoyed my second day of the weekend today. First part of the day went in finishing the blanket I've been working on for a few weeks. In the end, I'm pretty happy with it, and I took some pictures, with Neko's help. :P I'm not sure where to put it yet - it is a little too small to keep on the bed, and the color scheme doesn't work that good with the chairs or the sofa. But I'll figure it out. :) Now I gotta figure out what to do next.. fall is here soon and I feel like maybe making gloves or something for the colder days that are hopefully ahead of us soon.

It's gonna be my fourth fall here in Florida. In the previous years it's been hard for me to accept that there won't be that much wind and colorful leaves and all the fall stuff I'm used to back in Finland. I still miss it but I think this year just getting some cooler days will be fun, and I'm hopeful that maybe already in a few weeks it will get nicer.  The temperatures we've been having lately have been in the nineties (30'C) and it's been humid and thunderstorms almost every afternoon. I am ready to go walk around the lake and grill some marshmallows outside!

This afternoon we went to the beach to look at the sunset and also I wanted to pick some seashells for the garden. Most shells I found were so small so I didn't end up with that many at all but we had a good time regardless. On our way I tried to find a closer beach on the GPS navigator that we have in the car and because of that we ended up in Apollo Beach, the city, not an actual beach. We drove around trying to find an actual beach for a while but finally decided just to drive on to Coquina beach where we usually go. So to get to the beach we had to drive 80 miles (around 130km) from our house. I hate the long distances trying to get to places in America. There was a lot of traffic and aggressive drivers on the road, but the drive went well both ways. On our way we discussed how every town in Florida is pretty much the same thing, because all the same restaurants and stores and gas stations can be found in every town, just in a little different order.

Here is some pictures of the day and in the end a few videos as well!

This was the tree in front of our house back in July.. so pretty!!

Practising adding a picture. :P

My blog is now open, hurraa! I'm still not sure about the colors and all that but I'll figure all that out. I'm planning on just blogging about my little projects and random things to keep track of things. That's it for now!
